“It’s the hope that causes so much pain…”

Our first film of 2024 is one from a master of social realist cinema, Ken Loach. ‘The Old Oak‘ on Friday 19 January.

A pub landlord in a previously thriving mining community struggles to hold onto his pub. Meanwhile, tensions rise in the town when Syrian refugees are placed in the empty houses in the community.

Doors open at 19:00, tea/coffee and cake will be available.

Entry for non-members is £6 payable on the door.

Parking onsite plus plus tiered seating.

Please note, that in line with the BBFC classification, films classified 15 contain material that is not suitable for anyone younger than 15.
