Final Film and Membership Renewal Offer

The members have chosen, by a clear majority, to have A United Kingdom as their season ending film on Friday 26th May. The film stars Rosamund Pike and David Oyelowo and is based on the events  arising from a love story which had serious political  repercussions  in Britain in the 1950s.

Immediately after the film we will have our AGM. This is a mercifully brief, paperless meeting but as we are required to do it we will be offering our customary bribe of a glass of wine to those who attend. We will also be inviting people to volunteer to help the club. The greatest need is for people to help prepare and serve hot drinks so please let us know if you would be able to help us out a couple of times during the year. If you would prefer to do something else please let us know and we’ll discuss it with you. All offers will be gratefully received.

We will also be offering a discount to members who renew their membership on the night. The membership will cost £22 instead of the regular cost of £25. Membership forms will be available when you arrive for the show.  We would prefer cheques (payable to FilmCrew) or the correct amount of cash if possible please. After this show, membership forms will be available online via the membership page on this website and also at the Town Hall. If you have any membership queries please contact Joan on 01935 822656.

Our final request is for the return of all borrowed DVDs so that our librarian can spend the summer checking them over (lucky thing!).

We do hope that you enjoy the last film but if you can’t be there we wish you an enjoyable summer and look forward to seeing you again in September.
